Class registration is here again!

Students are strongly encouraged to make an appointment with one of the IB advisors before they register for classes! Appointments can be made by calling 333-6774 from 8:30am-5pm Monday through Friday. In addition, walk-in sessions will be available from 9-12 and 1-4:45 on Oct. 19th and 30th and Nov. 6th and 13th. Walk-ins are also available from 4-4:45pm on Oct. 26th-28th, Nov. 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 9th-12th . Peer advisers will be on hand from 11-2 Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout October and November.

Time Tickets (earliest registration time) for priority registration will be available online beginning Wednesday, Oct. 21st. Priority registration for Spring 2010 will begin on Monday, Nov. 2nd. Students can register for classes through the UI Integrate Self-Service System and may view the course catalog here and the Spring 2010 class schedule here.

The IB advisors can also offer advice on your graduation requirements, possible career options, or lend a sympathetic ear to listen about any academic difficulties you are experiencing. In addition, there is a resource room available with information regarding graduate programs, internships, scholarships, research opportunities, professional schools, employment and preparing for life after college. There is also information regarding other resources on campus including The Career Center, The Counseling Center, and student groups of interest to Integrative Biology Majors. It's your One-Stop Shop for everything Biology!

The IB advisors have also developed a list of Advising Options to help students guide their advance coursework. An Option is NOT a requirement. Rather, an Option is meant to help you select a related series of courses that will bring some focus to your studies. Please see this chart for the list of Options and details regarding each.

Visiting an SIB academic advisor will give you the answers you seek! Call 333-6774 or simply stop by the advising office at 127 Burrill Hall to make an appointment.
