Funds for School of Integrative Biology:
School of Integrative Biology Unrestricted Fund
The Integrative Biology Annual Fund is the main source of unrestricted funds available to IB. It is used to cover educational expenses for undergraduates that cannot be handled by the School's normal university budget. Purchase of specialized equipment for IB courses, support for IB student groups, support for special student events - all are examples of the uses to which contributions to the IB Annual Fund have been put. The help provided by the Annual Fund can make the difference between a good educational experience and an outstanding one.
Robert H. Davis Memorial Endowment
The Robert H. Davis Memorial Fund was named in honor of an undergraduate student in Integrative Biology on track to graduate in May, 2008. His tragic death in February 2008 cut short what was clearly a promising career. This fund was established by his family in his memory in order to provide support for undergraduate students to participate in undergraduate research, as Robert himself did.
Delcomyn International Study in Biology Award Fund
Established by Fred Delcomyn, the founding Director of the School of Integrative Biology, and his wife Nancy, this fund provides financial assistance to undergraduate students in IB who wish to take advantage of off-campus, biologically-related educational opportunities.
Integrative Biology Honors Program Fund
This fund supports the program designed for superior students wishing to pursue an intensive program in integrative biology and, concurrently to gain a strong background in the physical sciences and mathematics.
Natural History Building Renovation Fund
NHB is home to the SIB teaching programs. Our renovation is creating a dynamic learning environment that supports the latest methods in teaching and research.
SIB General Scholarship Fund
This fund supports undergraduate students pursuing independent research projects with SIB faculty.
School of Integrative Biology Teaching Scholar Award Fund
The School of Integrative Biology Teaching Scholar Award Fund is used to support a three-year position for a faculty member in SIB. The fund was established in honor of Dr. Carol Augspurger, professor emerita in Plant Biology, in recognition of her dedication to the undergraduate mission of the School of Integrative Biology.
Funds for Department of Evolution, Ecology, and Behavior:
Evolution, Ecology, and Behavior Annual Fund
Support enables the Department to assist in purchasing special equipment to support ongoing research, support seminars to futher the educational missions, and provide awards to meritorious graduate students.

Support enables the Department to assist in purchasing special equipment to support ongoing research, support seminars to futher the educational missions, and provide awards to meritoriuous graduate students.
The Healthy Bee Fund
Support ground-breaking research to help honey bees through a gift to The Healthy Bee Fund. The Department of Entomology at Illinois is world-renowned for its studies of honey bee biology and the environmental factors that affect bee health and sustainability. Gifts to this fund help support this trailblazing research and the bee-loving scientists who carry it out.
Pollinatarium Support Fund
This fund supports the daily upkeep of the Pollinatarium with future goals of constructing a dedicated classroom building and adaptation of the educational materials for internet dissemination.
Funds for Department of Plant Biology:
LAS Annual Fund for Plant Biology
Enables the Department to acquire special equipment to improve outcomes in Plant Biology courses, provide support to students conducting undergraduate and graduate research, help students participate in off-campus courses and workshops, and help students attend and present their research at national and international meetings and conferences.
Sharon Gray Memorial Award Fund
This fund was set up by Cody Markelz in honor of his wife, Sharon Gray, who was killed in an accident in Ethiopia in 2016. Sharon received her PhD in Plant Biology in 2013. The fund is to be used to support postdoctoral researchers, graduate students and undergraduate students supervised by faculty in SIB. Preference will be given to women and/or students from under-represented populations.
Plant Biology Greenhouse Support Fund
The greenhouse is used by Plant Biology faculty and students for research, teaching and outreach. The Conservatory houses more than 200 species from the tropics, including century-old cycads.
Tom Phillips Lecture Fund
Supports a lectureship named after Dr. Tom Phillips in recognition of his contributions to paleoscience and teaching.
John R. Laughnan Fund in Plant Biology
This fund was established by Susan Gabay-Laughnan to honor her husband Dr. John Laughnan, the developer of the "Illini Supersweet" hybrid that revolutionized the sweet corn industry. The fund supports travel for graduate students in the Department of Plant Biology.
