The university-wide Commencement Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and will be held at Memorial Stadium. Students are recognized in groups by degree programs at this ceremony.
The Graduate College Doctoral Hooding Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 13, 2022. Ph.D. candidates will be recognized individually, by name, and hooded at this ceremony.
Graduates may participate in as many of the ceremonies as they wish but must register for each ceremony separately and order a cap and gown to participate. The same cap and gown can be worn at each ceremony. Learn more about ordering rental academic attire and regalia. Academic attire is required. You should order regalia no later than April 12, 11:59 PM, CST to receive the early order discount.
COVID-19 Protocols: Proof of a negative COVID-19 test or COVID-19 vaccination will not be required for University events including Commencement and Convocation ceremonies. Face coverings will not be required indoors or outdoors at Commencement Weekend ceremonies. Any updates to this guidance will be e-mailed to graduates and shared on the university's COVID-19 Event Guidance website. Commencement will be livestreamed for individuals who are unable to attend in person.
