After Hemanth graduated with his BS in Integrative Biology Honors in 1990 he went on to get his PhD in Immunology/Cell Biology at Washington University in St. Louis. 

 “My time at U of I taught me to think like a scientists at an early age. This prepared me for graduate school and has made me a life long learner. I also met my wife of 29 years at Illinois. She and I were classmates in the Honors Bio program.”

In his current role as an Associate Director of Product Management at NeoGenomics, Hemanth is responsible for product roadmap development and execution, commercialization of new products and business development relationships between external parties and NeoGenomics.
