Madeline graduated with an Integrative Biology and Anthropology double major in 2009. She then went on to get a Masters in Teaching at National Louis University in 2011 and then a PhD in Biology at Washington University in St. Louis in 2017.

Before becoming a medical writer, Madeline was a high school teacher. Her job is a lot more than just medical writing, including fact-checking, making infographics, and creating PowerPoints. She gets to combine science, art, and writing every day and work permanently remotely.
