Nariah Romero-Rudy graduated from the University of Illinois in 2023 with a Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Biology. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Genetic Counseling at the University of Cincinnati, with an expected graduation date of May 2025.
Nariah is a second-year Genetic Counseling MS student at the University of Cincinnati/Cincinnati Children's. Her responsibilities as a student include attending classes, completing clinical rotations, and conducting research for her thesis project. Her Integrative Biology degree has prepared her for her master's education, particularly in research. Skills emphasized in core classes, such as writing, study design, and data analysis, have been instrumental in her graduate studies. Additionally, lessons from IB 292, such as the importance of networking, mentoring, and finding opportunities, have been valuable throughout her journey to and through grad school.
Nariah is excited to engage with current IB students and is eager to participate in informational interviews, address career-related questions, and offer mentorship. She looks forward to sharing her experiences and insights to assist students in navigating their educational and professional journeys.
