After graduating with his degree in Biology from UIUC in 2002, Patrick went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rosalind Franklin University in 2008. He then worked as a Physical Therapist at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and spent almost 10 years as a faculty member and the Director of Clinical Education at Rosalind Franklin University. He is currently the Director of University Relations for PT Solutions Physical Therapy.
As the Director of University Relations, Patrick manages the oversight of engagement opportunities and recruitment strategy with PT, OT, AT, and SLP programs across the country. He leads a team of Clinical Specialists who interact with students on and off campus, in the classroom, at conferences and career fairs, and other events. Patrick also continues teaching in PT programs as adjunct faculty in areas such as geriatric physical therapy, clinical education, and acute care physical therapy. Founded in 2003, PT Solutions Physical Therapy is a privately held physical therapy practice based in Atlanta, Georgia, with more than 450 points of service across 25 states. PT Solutions provides physical and occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, athletic training, and sports medicine services in outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, and acute care settings.
Patrick is currently the Vice President of the Illinois Physical Therapy Association (IPTA) and President of the Illinois Physical Therapy Foundation. He is also a past chair of the IPTA Ethics Committee, and has represented the IPTA at the American Physical Therapy Association House of Delegates. Patrick is a Board-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist Emeritus.
