Liz’s time at UIUC was foundational in her pursuit for advanced education. After receiving her bachelor’s in Biology & Psychology in 2003, she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Depaul University in 2007, and then her PhD in Nursing from UIC in 2013.

Liz is very well versed in the world of academics and nursing. As Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Nursing, she provides strategic leadership and oversight for the academic mission of the college across six regional campuses. Her responsibilities include the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic nursing programs, where she ensures quality, consistency, and compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. Liz leads efforts to support and prepare graduates for success by strengthening academic infrastructure, streamlining clinical partnerships, and promoting equitable access and outcomes for all nursing students at her institution.
