CHICAGO– Robert J. Oliver, M.D., was re-elected Chair of the Illinois State Medical Society’s (ISMS) Board of Trustees during its recent annual meeting.
Dr. Oliver is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and works at Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group in the South suburbs.
Active with ISMS since 1991 when he joined as a medical student, Dr. Oliver has served in dozens of council and committee roles as he ascended in leadership. He has served on multiple boards including at the county medical society level in addition to other organizations and medical groups.
Dr. Oliver earned his medical degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where he also completed his combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He attended the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana for his undergraduate degree in Biology.
Dr. Oliver’s term as Chair of the ISMS Board of Trustees will run through April 2028.
