Plant Biology faculty honored with prestigious campus awards

The School of Integrative Biology proudly congratulates two outstanding faculty members in the Department of Plant Biology. Dr. James O’Dwyer has been recognized with the 2025 Campus Distinguished Promotion Award and named the 2025–2026 Dean’s Distinguished Professorial Scholar, honoring his exceptional contributions to theoretical ecology and academic leadership. Additionally, Dr. Mark Lara has been selected as the 2025–2026 Helen Corley Petit Scholar, a distinction awarded to early-career faculty demonstrating excellence in research and scholarship. These honors highlight the impactful work and dedication of our faculty across disciplines.
