The School of Integrative Biology offers a few advising options for first-year students. As a first-year student, you have access to both professional and peer advisors to support you in your transition to college life and help you declare IB. Peer advisors are trained and supervised by professional staff, but bring a relatable perspective that can be particularly valuable for first-year students. These peer advisors offer guidance, advice, and information to their first-year students on various topics, such as standard course selection, insight on the IB major from the student perspective, extracurricular activities, and transitioning to college life.
